Hands are always in evidence and however well groomed and beautiful a woman may be, the illusion is shattered if her bands are uncared for. Rough, chapped, wrinkled hands are the signs of bad health. Hands are always on show, so the ideal is to have a smooth skin and nicely manicured nails. Well cared hands are noticed and admired by all.

Taking care of your hands shouldbe a matter of habit. Palmists say that your left handshows what you were born with while your right hand reveals what you will make of life but both hands showthe world just how much care you lavish upon them or how much you neglect them. Here are some tips that you can use for the purpose:

  • Detergents, soap and water constantly dry the skin so try to wear rubber gloves while doing housework in the kitchenand washing up in the bathroom.
  • Protect your handsfrom bad weather When going out wear cotton handglovesor massage with a barrier cream.
  • Do not remove cuticles because they are there to protect your nails from infection.
  • Use hand cream often and keep a bottle of it every where you visit frequently such as bathroom or vanity, kitchen and bedroom.
  • Mix glycerin, lemon juice and a few drops of rose water and use it to massage your hands every other day.
  • Cornmeal is a great scrub for hands and cleanse and softens your hands wonderfully
  • When you havehad hands in water, dry them twic e with a towel, thensmooth in a hand cream or lotion at once. Keep hand lotion by kitchen sink, and in the bathroom.
  • Make a mixture of Vaseline and carbolic acid and rub in on your hands.
  • A very Simplebarrier cream can be made by mixing one cup rose water, half a cup glycerine and 2 tablespoons lemon juiice.
  • Lemon Juice is a great asset to hands, softening, cleaning and bleaching them.
